Chloe Burns

About me - I have studied Computer Games Design for 4 years at Teesside University. I graduated in July 2022 with a Second-Class Honours Division One and within my time at the university I have been able to learn more about the games industry, how games are made, being able to use Unreal Engine and I also gained various skills that I never thought I would be able to gain at university.

Hobbies - In my spare time I enjoy playing on the Xbox with friends. I enjoy attending Ice hockey matches and I enjoy going to the gym as this clears my head. I like to be adventurous and willing to try out new things.

Relative Experience

January 2023-April 2023

UI Intern- Omniplay Studios

This was a remote working internship offered to me through Teesside University, in my time working with this company my role was a UI designer intern. Some of my tasks included was to visually design different UI elements, create and assign menu and settings features as well as researching how UI differs between genres of games. I worked to deadlines which was set by members of the team, I submitted documents surrounding research and core mechanic designs for UI and used constructive criticism to alter core designs and mechanical functions.

June 2023-September 2023

Designer Intern/Technical Designer- TUCan Studios

This is my current place of work, this is another remote working internship offered to me through the university, this studio has expanded my skills in a short period of time due to the company focusing on virtual reality and augmented reality. So far within my time at this company I have been creating designs and mockups for an XR showcase and UI for a video media player while iterating them by receiving feedback from other members on the team.
